"Validation and empowerment are super important to me."
The Short Version
I'm Liz Carrasco — LCSW, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and PhD candidate in Trauma Psychology. For over 13 years I've specialized in the hard stuff: PTSD, sexual trauma, domestic violence, immigration trauma, anxiety, and depression. I'm bilingual, bi-cultural, and I understand what it means to carry the weight of two worlds.
If you've ever wished for a therapist who actually gets your experience — not just clinically, but culturally — that's exactly why I do this work.
How I Work
I use evidence-based approaches like EMDR, CBT, and Cognitive Processing Therapy, matched to what you actually need. I also work from a feminist, humanistic perspective — meaning open, honest conversation with no jargon and no judgment.
You're the expert in your own life. I bring the clinical tools and the experience to help you get where you want to go. That's the partnership.
What Drives Me
I've watched people who thought they'd never feel okay again build lives they're genuinely proud of. That transformation is why I pursued my PhD, why I teach the next generation of therapists, and why I conduct immigration and trauma evaluations. Healing doesn't stop at the therapy room door.
